Latimer House

This house was reputed to have been built around the turn of the century by J.C. and Corrie-Phinney Latimer.  They raised five sons and one daughter there.  The house is built of heart pine from the Walhalla, SC, area.  This West Greer location hosted many social activities such as weddings, parties (cotillions), tennis events, and even the Junior-Senior Proms.  The house was purchased in the 60's by Karl and Winnie Nelson.   In 1992 the house was renovated by Carnese and Alison Hale, who still reside there with their two children, Jon Griffin and Sydney.
